Software Development · Offshore

Your engineering team, working from ours

Offshore development means your project is built by a dedicated GoAgile team working from our offices, as part of your team rather than at arm's length. Overlapping hours, your tools, your standards, your code.

  • A named team, not a rotating pool of contractors
  • Working hours that overlap yours, wherever you are
  • Your repositories, your boards, your code review

A working day across time zones

  1. 08:00 Riyadh
Team starts: standup, overnight review comments picked up
  2. 11:00 Riyadh
Overlap window opens with Europe and Africa
  3. 14:00 Riyadh
Overlap with the UK and early US east coast
  4. 17:00 Riyadh
Handover notes, demo build pushed for your morning

What offshore development means

Not outsourcing a problem. Extending your team.

Offshore development is when a company builds software with an engineering team based in another country. Done badly it means throwing requirements over a wall. Done properly it means a named team that joins your standups, works in your repositories and is accountable to your roadmap.

Clients come to this for three reasons: the skills they need are not available where they are, hiring locally would take months they do not have, or the cost of an in-house team cannot be justified for a project of this size. Any of those is a good reason. “Cheapest hourly rate” is not, and we will say so.

GoAgile works this way in both directions. Organisations outside the Kingdom use our Riyadh team for their product and platform work, and Saudi clients use the same model to add capacity without going through a long recruitment cycle. Our engineers also work on-site with clients where a project needs it.

What you get

A team, not a ticket queue

Everything that makes an in-house team work, without the hiring and the desks.

A named, dedicated team

The same engineers, designers and testers every sprint. You know their names, you see them in standups, and they learn your business instead of restarting each month.

Overlapping working hours

A guaranteed overlap window with your day, so questions are answered while you are awake rather than tomorrow.

Your process, your tools

We work in your repositories, boards and chat, to your definition of done and your code review standards.

Visible progress

Sprint demos, burndown and access to the board. You do not have to ask how it is going.

A technical lead who owns it

One person accountable for delivery and quality, not a shifting cast of coordinators.

Your code and your IP

Everything is written in your repositories under your ownership, with agreements signed before work starts.

In detail

How we make distance stop mattering

The problems with offshore work are known. These are the specific answers.

Time zones

We agree a daily overlap window in your hours and staff around it. Riyadh sits conveniently between Europe, Africa and Asia, with a workable overlap into the Americas.
You get: Answers during your working day, not after it.

How we start

From a first call to a team in your standup

Most teams are working inside a few weeks, not a few months.

  1. 1

    Scope

What you are building, which skills it needs and how long you need them.

  2. 2

    Propose

Team shape, named roles, overlap hours and cost, written down.

  3. 3

    Meet

You interview the people. Nobody joins your team without your approval.

  4. 4

    Set up

Access, tooling, security agreements and a two-week onboarding sprint.

  5. 5

    Deliver

Sprints, demos and reporting, with a technical lead accountable throughout.

  6. 6

    Review

A formal review each quarter on delivery, quality and whether the team shape still fits.

The working agreement

Agreed before the team starts, so expectations are written rather than assumed.

Why GoAgile

Why clients extend their team with ours

The usual worries about offshore work are fair. Here is how we answer them.

Well placed for overlap

Riyadh overlaps a full working day with Europe and Africa, most of Asia, and the start of the US east coast.

The same team every sprint

Named engineers who learn your product, not a pool reassigned between clients.

More than developers

ERP, infrastructure, security and AI specialists in the same company when your project needs them.

Certified practices

ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 management systems, with signed NDAs and IP assignment before work begins.

No lock-in

Your repositories, your documentation, your accounts. You can take the work elsewhere at any point.

Honest about fit

If a local hire or a fixed-scope project would serve you better, we will say so before you sign anything.

Need engineers faster than you can hire them?

Tell us what you are building, which skills you are missing and which hours you need covered. We will come back with a team shape, named profiles and a cost, before you commit to anything.

Offshore Development FAQs

What is offshore software development?

It is building your software with an engineering team based in another country. At GoAgile it means a named, dedicated team working from our offices as part of your team: your repositories, your board, your standups and a guaranteed overlap with your working hours.

How is it different from outsourcing a project?

Outsourcing usually means handing over a fixed scope and waiting for a result. Offshore development in this sense means you keep ownership of the roadmap and priorities, and the team works alongside you sprint by sprint. We offer fixed-scope projects too, and will tell you which suits your situation.

Which time zones can you cover?

Riyadh (UTC+3) overlaps a full working day with Europe, Africa and much of Asia, and the morning of the US east coast. We agree a specific overlap window and staff around it rather than promising round-the-clock cover.

Do we choose the people?

Yes. You interview the proposed team and nobody joins without your approval. If someone is not working out, we replace them and manage the handover.

Who owns the code and the intellectual property?

You do, from the first commit. Work happens in your repositories where possible, with IP assignment and confidentiality agreed in writing before the team starts.

How do you protect our data?

Signed NDAs, least-privilege access to only the systems needed, encrypted channels and ISO 27001 information security management. Where data cannot leave your environment, we work inside it.

Can the team work on-site with us?

Yes, for workshops, discovery or a critical phase, subject to visas and notice. Many engagements mix on-site sessions at the start with offshore delivery afterwards.

Can we scale the team up or down?

Yes. We agree notice periods in the contract so you can add specialists for a phase and release them afterwards without renegotiating each time.

What happens if we want to end the engagement?

You keep everything. We hand over code, documentation, credentials and knowledge through a planned exit, because a team you cannot leave is not a team you should join.

Tell us what you are building and which skills you are missing. We will come back with a team shape and named profiles, not a sales pitch.
