Managed SecurityMDR

Managed detection and response in Saudi Arabia: threats stopped, not just reported

MDR gives you analysts who investigate alerts and take action: isolating machines, disabling accounts and blocking traffic within rules you set, so a threat is contained before it spreads.

  • Investigation and containment, not only alerts
  • Endpoint, identity, cloud and network coverage
  • Every action logged and reviewed with you

01Overview

What is managed detection and response?

Managed detection and response (MDR) is a service in which a provider's analysts and automation monitor your environment, investigate suspicious activity and take containment actions on your behalf, around the clock. It differs from monitoring-only services because the provider responds, within rules you agree.

Who needs it?

Organisations without a 24/7 team that need threats contained quickly, or teams that want to extend their own.

What does it cover?

Endpoints, identity, cloud and network telemetry, depending on what you own.

What can we do on our behalf?

Isolate hosts, disable accounts, block indicators and kill processes, within approval rules.

How is it different from EDR?

EDR is a tool. MDR is a team that runs it, investigates and acts.

02What we do

From first signal to contained threat

Five connected capabilities.

Detect and investigate

Alerts are investigated by analysts using the full telemetry, not just a single signal.

  • Correlated detection across sources
  • Analyst-led investigation
  • Context from assets and identities
  • Clear verdicts with evidence

You receive: A verdict you can trust, with the evidence to back it.

Active containment

Isolate hosts, disable accounts and block indicators within approval rules.

Threat hunting

Hypothesis-led searches for activity detections missed.

Threat intelligence

Regional and sector intelligence applied to hunts and detections.

Post-incident review

Root cause, lessons and detection improvements after every significant incident.

Reporting

Weekly and monthly summaries and a quarterly review with leadership.

03How a threat is handled

Detect, investigate, contain, recover, improve

Each step has an owner and a time target.

  1. 01

    Detect

A detection or hunt raises a signal.

  2. 02

    Triage

    Analysts judge severity and scope.

  3. 03

    Investigate

    Search related activity across sources.

  4. 04

    Contain

Isolate and block within approval rules.

  5. 05

    Recover

Remove persistence and restore normal operation.

  6. 06

    Improve

Turn the lesson into a detection and a fix.

MDR that respects local rules

Response actions touch live systems and personal data.

  • Governance

    Approval rules you control

You decide which actions the team may take alone, and which need your approval, by asset and time of day.

  • NCA

    NCA MSOC context

Managed SOC delivery in the Kingdom follows the NCA licensing framework. We confirm the right delivery model for you.

  • PDPL

    Data protection

Investigations involve personal data, so access is limited, logged and aligned with the PDPL.

08Why GoAgile

Why organisations choose our MDR

Because response is a responsibility, not a feature.

Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI)Cyber security

Enterprise-grade protection for a mission-critical engagement

SAMI engaged GoAgile to strengthen its cyber security posture with protection aligned to the rigorous security and compliance standards of its sector.

  • Strengthened the organization's cyber security posture
  • Delivered enterprise-grade protection aligned to sector security and compliance standards
Regional telecom operatorManaged detection and response

24/7 managed detection and response for a telecom operator

Alert volumes had outgrown the in-house team, and mean time to respond was too long.

  • Onboarded endpoint, network and identity telemetry
  • Tuned detections to the operator's environment
  • Defined escalation paths and response playbooks

Result: Fewer false positives, faster containment and weekly reporting the security leadership could act on.

Government authorityIncident response

Containing a ransomware incident for a public body

Systems were encrypted on a weekend and the team needed expert help immediately.

  • Contained the spread and preserved evidence
  • Identified the entry point and persistence
  • Led a staged recovery from clean backups

Result: Services restored and the root cause closed, with a lessons-learned report for leadership.

GoAgile strengthened our cybersecurity posture with enterprise-grade protection aligned to the rigorous security and compliance standards our sector demands. Their team has been a dependable partner on a mission-critical engagement.

11Questions answered

Managed Detection and Response FAQs

What does MDR include?

24/7 monitoring, analyst investigation, containment actions within agreed rules, threat hunting, reporting and post-incident review.

Which tools do you work with?

We operate leading endpoint, identity and network security tools, including those you already own, and recommend changes only where they improve coverage.

What actions can you take on our behalf?

Within your rules: isolating hosts, disabling accounts, blocking indicators and ending processes. Higher-impact actions wait for your approval.

How is MDR priced?

Typically per endpoint or user with an agreed scope. We provide a fixed price after scoping.

Can MDR cover cloud workloads and identity?

Yes. Coverage can include Microsoft 365 and Azure, identity providers and other cloud platforms, depending on telemetry available.

How fast do you respond?

Response targets by severity are agreed in the contract. For active compromise we aim to act within minutes of confirmation.

Is MDR enough on its own?

MDR is one layer. It works best alongside good identity controls, patching, backup and a tested incident response plan.
