01Overview

What is incident response?

Incident response is the organised effort to detect, contain, investigate and recover from a security incident such as ransomware, a data breach or a compromised account. Digital forensics is the evidence-led part: establishing what happened, how the attacker got in, what they touched and whether they are still there.

The first hours decide the outcome. Wrong decisions, such as wiping affected machines or alerting the attacker, destroy evidence and prolong the incident. An agreed plan and an experienced team avoid that.

A retainer gives you a pre-agreed team, response times and onboarding, so nobody negotiates a contract while systems are down.

10Questions answered

Incident Response FAQs

What is an incident response retainer?

A retainer is a pre-agreed arrangement for a number of hours of expert time, response targets and onboarding, used for incidents and readiness work.

What should we do if we are hit by ransomware?

Isolate affected systems, preserve evidence, do not wipe machines, use a separate communication channel and call your response team. Decisions about negotiation and recovery should follow expert advice.

Can you respond remotely?

Often yes, within hours, with on-site support in the Kingdom where needed.

What is digital forensics?

The scientific collection and analysis of digital evidence to establish what happened in an incident, with chain of custody so it can support legal or regulatory action.

Do you help with regulator notifications?

We support your teams with timelines, impact analysis and evidence for notifications. Legal decisions stay with your counsel.

How much does incident response cost?

Retainers are priced by hours and response levels. Emergency engagements without a retainer are priced by effort. We explain both up front.

Do you run tabletop exercises?

Yes. Executive and technical exercises test plans and decisions, with a report of gaps and actions.
